Gaganyaan Mission: Crew Module of TV-D1 Test Flight successfully touches down Bay of Bengal

Sriharikota (AP), October 21 (ANI): After the initial glitch, the Gaganyaan TV-D1 mission was successfully launched from Sriharikota on Oct 21. The Crew Module of TV-D1 Test Flight of the Gaganyaan mission successfully touched down Bay of Bengal. Initially, the launch of Gaganyaan mission was scheduled for 8:00 AM, but was postponed due to bad weather. Later, the first lift-off attempt failed because engine ignition could not happen in a nominal course. After the successful touched down of the crew escape module, ISRO Chief S Somanath congratulated scientists. Gaganyaan project envisages demonstration of human spaceflight capability by launching a crew of 3 members to an orbit of 400 km.
