From Sheikh Hasina to Maldives Prez, these leaders will attend PM Modi’s oath taking ceremony

New Delhi, June 08 (ANI): The world is ready to witness the historic moment as PM Modi is set to take oath for third time on June 9. From Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina to Sri Lankan PM, several leaders have been invited for the ceremony. Other heads of states who would witness event are Bhutan PM Tobgay, Seychelles VP Ahmed Afif. Notably, Maldives Prez Mohamed Muizzu is likely to attend ceremony, days after ties between 2 nations took a hit. Maldivian news portal Edition.mv quoted its sister publication in Dhivehi, Mihaaru News, as confirming his attendance at ceremony. Earlier on June 04, Prez Muizzu congratulated PM Modi and expressed his willingness to collaborate to enhance bilateral ties. The congratulatory was later acknowledged and welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Narendra Modi will take oath on June 9 as Prime Minister after NDA won the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. The leaders' visit to swearing-in ceremony is in keeping with highest priority accorded by India to ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy, ‘SAGAR’ vision.
