New Delhi, Nov 29 (ANI): As the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s allegations against Adani Group sparked a political furore, top legal minds have expressed their views. Former Attorney General of India and Senior Counsel Mukul Rohatgi, who has been appearing for Adani Group in several cases, has claimed that industrialist Gautam Adani, along with his nephew Sagar Adani, have not been named in key bribery or obstruction of justice charges in the indictment filed by United States prosecutors in a bribery case. Rajya Sabha MP and Senior Advocate Mahesh Jethmalani on Wednesday said that the Congress and other Opposition parties are using the issue of the indictment against the Adani Group in the US "to divert attention from their electoral defeats" and said they must provide credible evidence before demanding a parliamentary probe. He also called the timing of indictment it “very sketchy, the timing is very suspicious”.
