Visnagar (Gujarat), September 17 (ANI): Gujarat’s Mehsana Zilla Panchayat has set a benchmark in Juvenile Type-1 Diabetes care through its innovative program under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK). Launched in 2018 and now powered by ₹41 lakhs in district funds, the initiative supports 217 children with free insulin pens, quarterly health camps, and emotional support for families. This holistic approach not only ensures medical care but also fosters community resilience, making Mehsana a model for child-friendly governance. By integrating treatment with compassion, the district proves that local leadership can revolutionize pediatric healthcare.
