From Ex-PM Manmohan Singh’s speech to special function, what’s expected in New Parliament on Day 1

New Delhi, September 18 (ANI): Heralding a new beginning, from one glorious legacy to a new chapter in Bharat’s Amrit Kaal, The nation is set to witness the Parliamentary sessions in the new Parliament building from September 19. MPs are requested to assemble in the Central Hall of Parliament at 11 am for a function to commemorate rich legacy of the Parliament of India. Thereafter, PM Modi, Leader of the Opposition, and Members of the Parliament will give a speech. After that, Lok Sabha, and Rajya Sabha will hold their sittings in the new Parliament building at around 1 pm. Meanwhile, BJP MP Maneka Gandhi and former PM Manmohan Singh will speak for five minutes each. Both Houses were adjourned on Monday after a discussion on Parliamentary democracy in the last 75 years. Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar adjourned the House and said that it will meet at 2:15 p.m. in the new Parliament building. The Special Session will continue till September 22.
