From ABVP to Telangana’s CM candidate, how Revanth Reddy climbed the ladders of success in politics

New Delhi, December 03 (ANI): Stunning BRS, Congress has triumphed in Telangana, where party has been led by Revanth Reddy. From a ABVP member, Anumula Revanth Reddy’s rise has been noteworthy, who has emerged as a top contender for the CM’s post. The grand old party, Congress has cemented its position in southern India with the win in Telangana polls. Congress crossed the majority mark in Telangana and is set to dethrone the K Chandrashekar Rao-led BRS government. While Revanth lost to BJP candidate Katipally Venakata Ramana Reddy in Kamareddy, he has been credited for steering Congress to victory. After graduating from Osmania University, Revanth Reddy was an ABVP member while he was a student. From being active in politics from the start, in 2007, Revanth Reddy was elected as a MLC as an independent candidate. He won the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections in 2014 from Kodangal seat with a vote share of 46.45 percent. 2017 was the year when he left Telugu Desam Party to join Congress and later went on to lead the party. This year, Reddy was projected as a big leader in the state, with the party pitting him against CM KCR in the Telangana elections. As per the latest trends by ECI, Congress is poised to win 64 seats whereas BRS was leading in 39 seats.
