Floor test in Jharkhand to decide Champai Soren’s future; Hemant Soren arrives at State Assembly

Ranchi (Jharkhand), February 05 (ANI): Floor test in Jharkhand was scheduled for February 05. Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren also reached the Assembly to participate in the floor test. A special session of Assembly has been called and section 144 has been imposed within 100 meters of premises. JMM MLAs staying at Circuit House in Ranchi left for the State Assembly to participate in floor test. JMM has 29 seats, its ally Congress has 17, RJD and the CPI (ML) have 1 seat each in the 81-member Assembly. With the support of 43 MLAs, the INDIA bloc has the numbers to sail through the floor test. JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya exuded confidence in winning the floor test. The political unrest in Jharkhand was triggered after Hemant Soren’s arrest in alleged land scam case. Days after Hemant Soren’s arrest, his successor Champai Soren took oath as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand.
