New Delhi, March 17 (ANI): The Indian Navy warship INS Kolkata has taken 35 sea pirates in custody who hijacked MV Ruen. On March 16, Indian Navy shared video of the encounter between commandos and pirates. Now, the Navy has shared complete details of how sanitisation of the hijacked vessel took place. Marine commandos showed their heroics as they were airdropped from C-17 Globemaster transport aircraft. With their special boats, commandos moved towards the vessel and carried out the operation. The Indian Navy thwarted designs of Somali pirates to hijack ships plying through the region by intercepting ex-MV Ruen. Now, the warship INS Kolkata has started sailing towards Indian West Coast with 35 pirates and 17 crew members. The Navy is also bringing the hijacked merchant vessel MV Ruen to the Indian coast. Officials have also informed that the vessel is carrying huge amount of steel.
