Field visits for growers to promote commercial floriculture in Kashmir

Srinagar (J&K), February 09 (ANI): The government launched special field visits to boost commercial floriculture in Kashmir, recognising its substantial economic potential. The initiative aimed to inspire young entrepreneurs to invest in the sector, thereby fostering employment opportunities. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) coordinated a specialised tour from its Sanat Nagar office to the flower nursery of Sher-i-Kashmir University of Agriculture Science and Technology (SKUAST). Attendees interacted with experts, acquiring insights into modern techniques of commercial floriculture and flower cultivation. The event drew progressive growers, young entrepreneurs, and students, all eager to augment their knowledge of the industry.
