New Delhi, May 06 (ANI): Punjab’s former CM Charanjit Singh Channi’s remarks over the Poonch Terror Attack sparked controversy. On May 05, Charanjit Singh Channi said that the attacks were a “poll stunt” orchestrated by the BJP. BJP ripped into Congress over Charanjit Singh Channi's controversial remark and called it a “cheap mindset”. Channi’s remark is “disrespectful” to soldiers, said his Lok Sabha Polls opponent Sushil Kumar Rinku. However, Congress is in damage control mode over Charanjit Singh Channi’s controversial remark. Condemning the Poonch terror attack, Congress’ Shashi Tharoor said that his party doesn’t do politics on terrorism. The Indian Air Force convoy was attacked by terrorists in Poonch district of J&K on May 04. After the attack, the injured personnel were rushed to the Command Hospital in Udhampur. However, one of the soldiers succumbed to the injuries in the Poonch terror attack.
