EVM, VVPAT awareness campaign held in J&K’s Udhampur

Udhampur (J&K), January 19 (ANI): An impactful awareness campaign focusing on EVMs and VVPATs unfolded at the Deputy Commissioner Office Complex in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur. The central aim of this initiative was to enlighten the general public about the operations of EVMs and VVPATs, to encourage a 100 per cent voter turnout. The program included informative sessions where participants received in-depth briefings on the intricacies of EVMs and VVPAT machines. This endeavour is part of the ongoing efforts by the Election Commission to engage the public and enhance their understanding of the voting process. By delivering comprehensive information on EVMs and VVPATs, the Election Commission aims to strengthen the democratic foundation of the region.
