Enhancing rail infra in Kerala: Ernakulam Town railway station receiving magnificent makeover

Indian Railways is committed to upgrading its infrastructure and providing the best facilities to its passengers. As part of these efforts, the Ernakulam Town Railway Station is being re-developed for passengers ‘convenience and hassle-free travel. The project is expected to be completed in a span of 36 months with a total budget of Rs.150.20 Crores. In accordance with the blueprint of the redeveloped station, the existing building will be demolished in three phases and a new West Terminal building will be constructed. The three-storey Terminal building will have upgraded facilities like a waiting lounge, restaurants, retail outlets etc. The station will have separate entry and exit corridors for the passengers.
