Darjeeling (WB), June 17 (ANI): In a tragic incident, at least 8 people were killed and over 20 people got injured in West Bengal as Kanchenjunga Express met with an accident on June 17. Aerial view from ANI’s drone camera showed the extent of damage at the spot of the accident. A goods train rammed into Kanchenjunga Express near Rangapani Station in West Bengal’s Darjeeling on June 17. Kanchanjungha Express which runs between Silchar in Assam to Sealdah in Kolkata was Sealdah bound when a goods train hit it from behind. After the accident, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw arrived at the accident spot and took stock of the situation. Meanwhile, restoration work is ongoing tirelessly as officials are closely monitoring the restoration process at the accident site
