New Delhi, January 20, 2026 (ANI): India is set to showcase a major leap in indigenous defence capability as DRDO prepares to debut its newly built long-range anti-ship hypersonic glide missile at the 77th Republic Day Parade. Designed for dominance in the Indo-Pacific, the missile combines extreme speed, stealth, high accuracy, advanced flight dynamics, and a range of up to 1,500 km, significantly enhancing India’s naval strike and deterrence capabilities. The system reflects rapid progress in hypersonic missile technology and underscores India’s push toward next-generation warfare readiness. According to the ASL Project Director at DRDO, A Prasad Goud, the new weapon not only strengthens India’s strategic posture but also presents a formidable challenge for adversaries operating across the region, marking a decisive step in India’s advance into the future of missile technology.
