DRDO conducts successful flight trial of 1500-km long-range hypersonic missile ranges

Abdul Kalam Island (Odisha) November 17 (ANI) DRDO successfully conducted a flight trial of its long-range hypersonic missile on Nov 16 from Odisha’s Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island. This hypersonic missile is designed to carry various payloads for ranges greater than 1500km for all Services of Indian Armed Forces. The missile was tracked by various range systems, deployed in multiple domains to analyse its trajectory. This missile has been indigenously developed by the laboratories of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex. The flight trial was carried out in the presence of senior scientists of DRDO and the Armed Forces. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, and Armed Forces for successful flight trial of India’s first long-range hypersonic missile. Rajnath Singh emphasized that this major achievement puts India amongst a handful of nation to develop such advanced technologies. DRDO Chairman also congratulated the team for their active contribution to this successful mission
