District Administration hosts Wullar Bird Watch Festival 2026 to boost tourism in Bandipora

Bandipora (J&K), Feb 17, 2026 (ANI): Wullar Bird Watch Festival 2026 was organised by District Administration Bandipora at Wular Lake in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora. It was organised in collaboration with Wular Conservation and Management Authority (WUCMA) and Forest Department with an aim to promote eco-tourism and creating livelihood opportunities for local communities. Officials spoke about restoration work at Wular Lake and measures was also taken to support eco-tourism under this programme. The event witnessed participation from ornithologists, conservation experts, and students from various colleges, wildlife photographers, nature enthusiasts and members of local communities from different parts of the region.
