Delhi Police arrest AAP MLA Naresh Balyan in extortion case after audio clip surfaces

New Delhi, December 1 (ANI): Delhi Police Crime Branch arrested AAP MLA Naresh Balyan on November 30 in connection with an alleged extortion case from last year. According to officials, the arrest followed an investigation revealing an audio clip of Balyan discussing ransom collection with gangster Kapil Sangwan. The police are currently interrogating Balyan and continuing their investigation into the case. Advocate Sujan Singh, lawyer of the arrested AAP MLA, claimed he was denied official information about his client’s arrest and was not allowed to meet him. He further added that Police gave conflicting statements regarding Balyan’s detention and refused to provide an FIR or status update
