New Delhi January 15 (ANI): A special session of the MCD or Municipal Corporation of Delhi was marred by a huge ruckus and sloganeering on January 15. The special session of MCD, which is ruled by the AamAadmi Party (AAP), was called to discuss the issue of vesting powers of the standing committee of the House. The moment Mayor Shelly Oberoi entered the House, opposition members started raising slogans such as "Tanashahinahichalegi" and "Samvidhankihatya band karo.". Security forces have been deployed at the MCD house amid a ruckus by BJP councillors as MCD proceedings are underway. The reconstitution of the 18-member standing committee, the highest decision-making body of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) that is responsible for making all financial decisions, has been pending for the last 10 months.
