Delhi: FM Sitharaman hosts customary ‘Halwa’ ceremony, marks final stage of 2024 Budget preparations

New Delhi, July 16 (ANI): The customary ‘Halwa’ ceremony, marking the final stage of the Budget preparation process for Union Budget 2024-25, was held in New Delhi on July 16. The Ceremony was held in the presence of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Mos for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary. During the ceremony, the Finance Minister stirred the Halwa and distributed it to the officials of the Ministry. A customary Halwa ceremony is performed every year before the ‘lock-in’ process of officials involved in the Budget preparation begins. The Union Budget 2024-25 will be presented on July 23, 2024.
