Dawoodi Bohra Community relaunches 'Save Our Sparrows' initiative ahead of World Sparrow Day

Mumbai, March 20 (ANI): Ahead of World Sparrow Day, the Dawoodi Bohra community has relaunched its nationwide ‘Save Our Sparrows’ campaign. The campaign was to raise awareness about the declining sparrow population and encourage conservation efforts. The campaign, which began on March 6, aims to tackle the alarming decline of sparrows due to urbanization. As part of this initiative, Dawoodi Bohra volunteers are distributing approximately 50,000 bird feeders across the country. These feeders will be placed in households, schools, parks, and community centers, ensuring sparrows. In Mumbai and its suburban areas, over 6,500 bird feeders have already been distributed among community members.
