Jaipur (Rajasthan), August 10 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has launched 'Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana'. On this occasion, in a program organized at Birla Auditorium, Jaipur, the Chief Minister inaugurated more than 400 mobile distribution camps across the state. In these camps, the beneficiaries will be able to choose the smartphones of their choice. 6800 rupees will be deposited to the beneficiaries through DBT in their e-wallets for smartphones and SIM cards. Along with this, he provided smartphones to the schoolgirls. The Chief Minister also launched the 'Digital Sakhi Book'. Under the first phase of this scheme, phones will be distributed to 40 lakh women. During this, he interacted with the beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Smartphone Yojana and got information from them about various schemes being run by the government. He said that daughters have got the key to progress in the form of smartphones. This will make the path of their progress easy. This scheme is a unique initiative of the state government to empower the girl students, widows and single women. With this, awareness will increase among the women of the state and they will be able to become partners in the prosperity of their families. With the help of smartphones, the girl students studying in far-flung areas will be in constant contact with their families and will also be able to study online.
