Daughter of tailors from J&K’s Nowshera breaks shackles to become town’s first Judge

Rajouri (J&K), April 07 (ANI): Bhawna Kesar, from Jammu and Kashmir’s Nowshera, shattered barriers and made history as the first girl from her town to become a judge in the Indian Judiciary. Born into a family where her parents ran a modest tailoring business, Bhawna’s early life was marked by limited educational prospects. Despite facing scepticism from locals about their aspirations for their daughter, Bhawna’s parents persisted in advocating for her education. Their determination paid off when Bhawna successfully cleared the PCS(J) Exam, fulfilling her childhood dream of becoming a judge. Kesar’s journey serves as a powerful testament to the transformative power of ambition and resilience, especially for young girls in Jammu and Kashmir.
