Puri (Odisha), June 26 (ANI): Preparations are underway for the construction of three wooden chariots ahead of the Ratha Yatra in Odisha’s Puri. The three chariots are built new, every year ahead of the annual chariot festival. Skilled carpenters and artisans, meticulously carve and assemble the chariots using wood from specific trees. Every year, in the sacred month of Ashadha, Jagannath Temple becomes the center point of a grand and ancient tradition known as the Ratha Yatra. It attracts millions of devotees and tourists from around the world. This year, the Ratha Yatra will commence on July 7 and conclude with the return journey known as Bahuda Yatra on July 16.
