New Delhi, October 05 (ANI): Indian High Commissioner to Maldives Munu Mahawar called on President-elect Mohamed Muizzu. Vice President-Elect of Maldives, Hussain Mohamed Latheef was also present at the meeting. Indian High Commissioner Mahawar handed over a congratulatory message from PM Narendra Modi. President-elect Muizzu, Vice President-elect Latheef had a fruitful meeting with the Indian High Commissioner. The productive discussions were held to further enhance India - Maldives bilateral relationship. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi congratulated Mohamed Muizzu for winning the Maldives presidential polls. Sharing his delight on social media 'X', he said, India remains committed to strengthening bilateral relationship Progressive Party of Maldives candidate Mohamed Muizzu, won the Maldivian presidential elections. Muizzu won with more than 54 per cent of the vote, after tallying the results of all 586 ballot boxes. Notably, Muizzu is considered ‘pro-China’ because of the huge Chinese loans by the Maldives, under PPM govt.
