The Chhab Talav in Dahod, Gujarat, has been revitalized under the Dahod Smart City initiative, becoming a vibrant hub for residents and tourists. Once neglected, the lake has been restored with an investment of ₹120 crores, blending heritage with modern urban needs. It now serves as a recreational space for families and fitness enthusiasts. The initiative also includes the establishment of an Integrated Command and Control Centre, costing ₹121 crores, to enhance security through 387 CCTV cameras and manage public services. Additionally, a sports complex and Tribal Museum are being developed to preserve and showcase Dahod's rich tribal heritage. These efforts under the Smart City Mission are transforming Dahod into a model city, balancing modernization with cultural preservation.
