Chennai's first ever AC EMU train service introduced between Chennai Beach and Chengalpattu

For lakhs of daily commuters in Chennai, local travel has now become even more comfortable. The Southern Railway’s Chennai Division has launched its first AC EMU train service between Chennai Beach and Chengalpattu. This newly introduced AC train is fully equipped with modern features – including automatic doors, CCTV cameras, a passenger talk-back system, comfortable stainless steel seats, LED displays, and easy boarding and deboarding access. With a top speed of 110 kmph, the train can seat up to 1,116 passengers. Offering relief from heat and humidity, this new train is nothing short of a gift, especially for office-goers and women passengers.The Chennai Beach to Chengalpattu route is one of the busiest suburban corridors. In such high-traffic areas, this AC EMU train is easing the rush and offering passengers a more peaceful, pleasant journey.
