BJP supported Muslim League, not Cong: Jairam Ramesh slams PM Modi’s remarks on Congress manifesto

New Delhi, April 07 (ANI): Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi following his “Congress’ election manifesto has the imprints of the Muslim League” remarks, on April 07. Jairam Ramesh said that it has always been the Bharatiya Janata Party that has supported Muhammad Ali Jinnah and not the Congress. The Congress has always opposed the Muslim League, but the BJP has supported it, he further added. While speaking to ANI, Jairam Ramesh said, “It was Syama Prasad Mukherjee who ruled alongside the Muslim League; it was Lal Krishna Advani who appreciated Muhammad Ali Jinnah; it was PM Modi who went to Pakistan. Congress has always opposed the Muslim League, but the BJP has supported it.”
