“हिंदुओं पर लाठीचार्ज और अवैध मस्जिद का रिचार्ज …” BJP blasts Congress over Shimla mosque row

New Delhi September 12 (ANI): BJP MP Sambit Patra criticized the Congress party's stance on the Sanjauli Mosque Row in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, calling it an "illegal mosque". He claimed that despite 45 notices from the Municipal Court, the mosque has failed to produce papers proving its legality. Patra accused the Congress of appeasement and hypocrisy, citing Rahul Gandhi's meeting with Ilhan Omar and the party's opposition to action against the mosque. He also condemned the use of force against Hindus protesting the mosque and demanded that illegal mosques be removed, saying "Lathi-charge on Hindus and recharge of illegal mosques will not be tolerated". BJP MP Sambit Patra says, "... Hindu outfits and common people of Shimla are on the streets and are raising their voice against an illegal mosque. It is very clear that the concerned mosque is illegal. Congress' Rural Development Minister Anirudh Singh asked on the floor of the House where the people of the 'Jamaat' come from. He also spoke on 'Love Jihad'... Congress opened a front against him... The Municipal Court has served a notice to the mosque 45 times to produce the papers of legality, but they have submitted no papers. Congress still has the attitude of appeasement... If Rahul Gandhi meets Ilhan Omar, then obviously he will have affection towards illegal mosques and there would be lathi-charge against Hindus. Ilhan Omar is not going to say that illegal mosques should be removed. The BJP is against the lathi-charge and the action taken against women too... 'Hindu par lathi-charge aur avaidh masjid ka recharge, yeh nahi chalega'..."
