Bihar Train Accident Update: 4 dead, over 70 injured; Restoration work underway at site

Buxar (Bihar), October 12 (ANI): At least 4 persons died, over 70 were injured after 21 coaches of North East Express train derailed. The mishap took place near Raghunathpur Station in Buxar district of Bihar on October 11. However, the restoration work is still underway at the Raghunathpur Station in Bihar’s Buxar. Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey is present at ground zero. Notably, the train was going from Anand Vihar Terminal, Delhi to Kamakhya in Assam. Locals and district administrations rescued the passengers, and the critically injured were referred to AIIMS Patna. A special train was also arranged for the stranded passengers and they will be shifted to special train. The reason behind the incident will be investigated once the rescue operation is over.
