Patna (Bihar), July 08, 2025 (ANI): An accused in the murder of Bihar businessman Gopal Khemka was shot dead in a police encounter on July 08. Criminal Vikas alias Raja was killed in a police encounter near Damarahi Ghat, Patna, at 2:45 AM on July 8. Acting on a tip-off, police engaged Vikas and recovered a pistol, one bullet and a cartridge from the site. Patna City Police were alerted by 5:00 AM; SP Nagar and Senior SP inspected the encounter scene soon after. Vikas's body was taken to Nalanda Medical College Hospital for a postmortem examination. Law and order in the area remain stable following the early morning police operation. Businessman Gopal Khemka who was shot dead near the main gate of his residence in Patna's Gandhi Maidan area.
