The historic Bhavnath Mahadev Fair in Junagadh, Gujarat is in its final stage of preparations ahead of Mahashivratri. Declared a ‘Mini Kumbh’ this year, the fair has assumed greater religious importance, drawing devotees from across the country. To ensure smooth conduct, the Bhavnath area will remain vehicle-free from February 11 to 15, with special transport arrangements in place. Expanded fair limits highlight increased public participation and enthusiasm. Authorities have made extensive arrangements for drinking water, sanitation, lighting, crowd control, and safety. Community kitchens will provide meals to lakhs of pilgrims, while saints from various regions have gathered for spiritual practices. Nearly 1.5 million devotees are expected, with the fair culminating in the dip at Mrugi Kund at midnight on Mahashivratri.
