Badlapur sexual assault case: Accused shot dead, mother alleges conspiracy, demands justice

Thane (Maharashtra), Sept 24 (ANI): Shortly after Akshay Shinde, the accused in the Badlapur sexual assault case, was allegedly shot dead by Maharashtra police, his mother, Alka Shinde, spoke to ANI. She claimed that she had spoken to Akshay earlier that day to inquire about his well-being. Alka also alleged that there might be a conspiracy behind her son's death while in police custody and called for justice for him. The alleged sexual assault case has sparked outrage across the state, with multiple protests demonstrating outrage over the incident were held across the country. On August 17, police arrested an attendant (Akshay Shinde) of the school for allegedly abusing the girls.
