Nawada (Bihar), September 19 (ANI): In a shocking incident, 20-25 houses were set ablaze by unidentified miscreants in Krishnanagar area of Bihar's Nawada at intervening night of September 19. According to SDPO of Sadar Nawada, Sunil Kumar, initial investigations suggest that a land dispute is primary cause of violence. The incident took a communal turn as leaders take on ‘X’ to protest against the ‘Violence against Dalits’. Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDO), Akhilesh Kumar said, “On September 18, 2024, an information was received that several houses were burned in Krishnanagar, within the Mufassil police station jurisdiction. Upon arrival at the scene, we observed that approximately 20-25 homes had been set ablaze. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties so far. Initial findings suggest that property disputes may be the underlying cause. An investigation is underway, and some individuals have been detained. Those responsible for this incident will face severe consequences.”
