‘Assured protection of Hindus’: PM Modi receives call from Bangladesh Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus

New Delhi, August 16 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with Mohammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of the interim government of Bangladesh on August 16. Taking to ‘X’, PM Modi informed about the call and said that they exchanged views on the prevailing situation in the country following the ouster of Sheikh Hasina. During the call, PM Modi reaffirmed India’s support for a democratic, stable, peaceful and progressive Bangladesh, while Muhammad Yunus assured him of the safety, and protection of Hindus and other minority communities living in Bangladesh.
