Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Feb 18, (ANI): Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar addressed the press on February 18, in Visakhapatnam, informing about the Multilateral Naval Exercise MILAN 2024. "MILAN exercise is indeed the largest exercise we have held so far...It has been growing in its stature, content degree of complexity and so on. This time we have invited about 58 countries and we've got responses from more than 50 countries. And about 18 warships and aircraft are likely to participate. This exercise is very important in the sense that the theme this time is collaboration, cohesion and interaction with all of them…The maritime sector per se is very, very important … Different Nationalists Iranian, and Pakistani were getting hijacked… we were able to make the pirates surrender...That is why we find them thanking us.. Anybody who's in distress, we have to help" said Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar The 12th edition of the MILAN exercise will be held from February 19 to 27 in Visakhapatnam and will see the participation of over 50 countries. The theme of the exercise is "Forging Naval Alliances For a Secure Maritime Future."
