Amarnath Yatra 2024: AYUSH Dept conducts yoga sessions for pilgrims in Pahalgam

Pahalgam (J&K), July 13 (ANI): The AYUSH Department set up a health care centre along the path from Anantnag to the Amarnath Holy cave. These centres have been equipped with necessary medical facilities and staffed with professionals to assist pilgrims throughout the journey. Yoga sessions were also conducted at every station to help pilgrims manage physical exertion and maintain mental peace amid challenging terrain. Notably, Yoga is particularly beneficial in enhancing respiratory efficiency and reducing stress which is crucial for high-altitude conditions. In addition to that, the AYUSH Department also provides a special herbal drink known as Ayush Khewa.
