सुगम्य भारत अभियान में भारतीय रेल की सशक्त भूमिका

13 December, ANI, Delhi/Gujrat भारत सरकार द्वारा दिव्यांगजनों के लिए सार्वभौमिक सुगम्यता सुनिश्चित करने हेतु 3 दिसंबर, 2015 को "सुगम्य भारत अभियान" नामक एक राष्ट्रव्यापी अभियान शुरू किया गया। यह अभियान दिव्यांग लोगों को समान अवसर के साथ समावेशी समाज में पूर्ण भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करने पर केंद्रित है। इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य दिव्यांग व्यक्तियों की सूचना, परिवहन, भौतिक वातावरण, संचार तकनीक और सेवाओं तक पहुँच सुनिश्चित करना है। भारतीय रेल इस अभियान में अपनी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका लगातार निभा रही है। भारतीय रेल द्वारा भी दिव्यांगजनों की यात्रा को सुगम बनाने के लिए विभिन्न सुविधाओं का प्रावधान किया गया हैं। दिव्यांगजनों के लिए अलग से पार्किंग व्यवस्था, स्टेशन प्रवेश हेतु रैंप, व्हील चेयर, लिफ्ट, एस्कलेटर, दिव्यांगजन अनुकूल वॉटर टैप व शौचालय की अलग-अलग व्यवस्था की गई हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त ट्रेनों में दिव्यांगजन कोच की सुविधाएं भी भारतीय रेल प्रदान कर रही हैं।
