75th Republic Day: Full Dress Rehearsal underway at Delhi’s Kartavya Path

New Delhi, January 23 (ANI): With only three days left for 75th Republic Day, preparation for the occasion is in full swing. A full dress parade rehearsal is underway at Kartavya Path in Delhi on January 23 ahead of Republic Day 2024. In a first, the Border Security Force’s (BSF) all-women marching and brass band contingents will participate in this year’s Republic Day parade on Kartavya Path. The parade would commence with the music of Sankh, Naadswaram, Nagada to be played by 100 women artists. The parade will also witness an all-women tri-services contingent from the Army, Navy and Air Force marching down the Kartavya Path. The contingent mostly has Agniveers and some of the regular recruits. “Best representation of women will be seen in this year’s Republic Day parade,” the Defence Secretary said. Another all-women contingent would be from the Directorate General of the Armed Forces Medical Services which will include nurses of the military nursing services and they would be led by women doctors at the parade. French President Emmanuel Macron will be the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations on January 26. Notably, this is the sixth time when a French leader will be the chief guest at Republic Day celebrations here in the national capital.
