5th India-US 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue | India to hold key defensive, strategic discussions with US

New Delhi, Nov 09 (ANI): India is set to host 5th India-US 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue 2023 in New Delhi on November 10. US Defense Secretary Austin, State Secretary Blinken will co-chair dialogue with India’s Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh and EAM Jaishankar. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will arrive tomorrow and Secretary Austin departed for India to participate in the meeting. Lloyd Austin will be welcomed with a Tri-service Guard of Honour at the Palam Technical Area upon his arrival. Principal Dy Spox of US Dept of State Vedant Patel said that US is expecting several topics including Security cooperation to be discussed. The dialogue will provide a platform for top-level discussions between India-US, with special emphasis on developments unfolding in Indo-Pacific region. Key strategic and defence issues are expected to be discussed in high-level ministerial dialogue. Following the Ministerial Dialogue, US Defence Secretary Austin will conduct a bilateral meeting with Rajnath Singh. The 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue is a diplomatic summit held every year since 2018. The discussion is likely to be focused on common issues of concern between the two countries.
