New Delhi, November 10 (ANI): Flights carrying 394 deported migrants landed in Guatemala on Nov 10, according to Guatemala's immigration authorities. The deportees were primarily detained at the US-Mexico border while attempting to enter United States. They were processed by Guatemalan Migration Institute, which also assisted them in returning to their original communities. Deportees hoped that US President-elect Trump would provide them with opportunities to return to US on temporary work visas. However, Trump on the other hand has vowed to reinstate first-term policies targeting illegal border crossings. Americans see immigration as most pressing issue for Trump to address; the majority believe he’ll order mass deportations of people living US illegally. Every year, 1000s of Latin American migrants enter Mexico irregularly in an attempt to reach the US in search of better living conditions
