3-day exhibition organised ahead of first-ever International Kashmir Marathon in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 18 (ANI): The 3-day exhibition “Kashmir Expo” began ahead of the first-ever International Kashmir Marathon, which is scheduled to be held on October 20, in Srinagar. It aims to promote adventure tourism and attract more and more International players. The exhibition was inaugurated by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo accompanied by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and other concerned officers. It provided a platform for young entrepreneurs to display and sell their products. They also got an opportunity to promote niche crops, unique handicrafts and handloom items prepared by versatile artists of the valley. Notably, more than 2000 runners from all over the country, including some overseas athletes, will be participating in the Kashmir Marathon. Nearly 2,100 runners have registered on the portal, including both international and national-level athletes from countries such as Kenya, Denmark, Norway, and the UAE, along with participants from 27 states and Union Territories across India. This type of exhibition is playing a vital role to boost the economy and generating employment in the valley.
