Srinagar, Aug 19 (ANI): 2-day workshop on capacity building as well as gender equity for women managers concluded in Srinagar. It was organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Department in collaboration with the Government College of Education, Srinagar. A good number of dignitaries both men and women participated and highlighted a number of issues regarding women folks. Professors, educationists, scholars, researchers and students also highlighted the importance of women who play a positive role in developing society as well as the nation. A number of PowerPoint presentations were given by experts regarding the rights and importance of women in society. They also spoke on proper education of girl children, especially in far-flung areas so that they can play their role in the future and overall society will be empowered. Participants were very much satisfied with the workshop and demanded that such types of workshops should continue in the future.
