137th Horse Racing Season in Ooty attracting tourists in large numbers

Nilgiris (Tamil Nadu), April 7 (ANI): The 137th Horse Racing Season has begun in Ooty, captivating tourists amidst the picturesque Nilgiris landscape. Summer season in Ooty has kicked in with the commencement of the 137th Horse Racing Season. Tourists, including women and children, gather every year to witness the exciting horse racing event, adding to the charm of the Queen of Hills, Nilgiris. This year, a total of 25 jockeys, 16 trainers and 500 racehorses have come from cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad to participate in the event. Major races scheduled throughout the season include Nilgiri 1000 Guineas, Nilgiri 2000 Guineas, and the Nilgiri Gold Cup, offering thrilling competition. Trophies and prize money await the victorious horses, attracting avid spectators and enthusiasts alike to the exhilarating races.
