New Delhi, Sep 14 (ANI): A recent study has revealed that sugar pills can reduce chronic pain as effectively as any powerful drug. The study by Professor A Apkarian suggests that using sugar pills to relieve chronic pain can have several benefits. Prescribing non-active drugs instead of active drugs can help to stay out of addiction. It will eliminate the placebo effect from drug trials. This can also reduce the health care cost of patients suffering from chronic pain. The findings have been published in the Journal of Nature Communications.
