New Delhi, Mar 19 (ANI): Pregnant women drinking water from plastic bottles may affect child’s brain, according to a recent study. The research in mice shows how exposure to chemical bisphenol A (BPA) during pregnancy can alter child’s brain development and behavior in its life later. BPA is a chemical which is used in manufacturing of several products like can liners and food storage containers including plastic water bottles. The BPA is known to be endocrine-disrupting chemical which can disrupt with body’s hormone. Decades of research on 1,000 animal and 100 human epidemiological have demonstrated link between BPA exposure and adverse health outcomes, according to researchers of the University of Calgary, Canada. The research will be presented at Endocrine Society in Chicago in its 100th annual meeting.
