New Delhi, Aug 31 (ANI): A new study found out that women with lung cancer may have early menopause lead by acute amenorrhea if Chemotherapy is done. The study talks about amenorrhea rates in women below 50. It also suggests that women with lung cancer should be educated in terms of risks and options involved in having future fertility before starting treatment for the same. The study was conducted on 182 premenopausal women with the average age at diagnosis being 43 years. The Mayo Clinic Epidemiology and Genetics of Lung Cancer Research Program surveyed women between 1999 and 2016 at diagnosis and annually thereafter about their menstrual status.
