‘Fanney Khan’ new song ‘Tere Jaisa Tu Hain’ delves into teenage struggle

New Delhi, Jul 30 (ANI): Makers of upcoming Bollywood film ‘Fanney Khan’ released a new number, ‘Tere Jaisa Tu Hain’ on Monday. The song focuses on struggles of teenagers. Newcomer Pihu Sand plays the lead, portraying a young, ambitious singer who seeks recognition for her talent. The video shows Anil Kapoor and Divya Dutta play the supportive parents to a young Pihu, and partners in her dream to make it big in the music industry. Actor Anil Kapoor took to Instagram to reveal the new song in a snapshot of Pihu’s character singing on stage, wearing a red one-shoulder gown. The caption of the picture read, “A bond beyond words is that of a father & daughter! The montage song tracks the struggles of the lead character, who is made fun of because of being ‘overweight’. The song shows how her parents are a part of the sad and the happy moments of their child’s journey to success. Inspite of being an emotional number, the song ends with a positive message, reading, ‘A Dream never dies’. ‘Fanney Khan’ is directed by Atul Manjrekar; and stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao alongside Anil Kapoor and Divya Dutta, in lead roles. It is slated to hit screens nationwide on August 3.
