Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday assured full cooperation to the Judicial Commission, headed by Justice Soumitra Saikia of the Gauhati High Court, in the investigation relating to the death of Assamese singer Zubeen Garg.
"Today, I am not saying Zubeen Garg's death is an accident, it is a murder. We will have to submit the chargesheet of Zubeen Garg murder case before December 17. I have given the target to submit the chargesheet by December 8. We are ready," he said.
Over Assam's iconic singer Zubeen Garg's death case, Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday said that the SIT will submit the chargesheet before the court by December 17 this year.
"The Singapore authorities have agreed that they will provide us assistance in a time-bound manner. They have agreed that in the next 10 days or so they will come back to us," SIT Chief and Special DGP (CID) Munna Prasad Gupta said at a press conference.

Speaking with the ANI, SIT chief and Special DGP (CID) Munna Prasad Gupta said, "We had arrested seven people, and the police custody of five persons has been completed, so we are producing them before the court today. The custody of the remaining two will be over the day after tomorrow."
