US President Joe Biden welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the White House on Wednesday (local time) on his first foreign visit since the beginning of the Ukraine-Russia conflict, reported CNN.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is planning to visit Washington on Wednesday and may meet US President Joe Biden at the White House, according to four people familiar with the planning, reported New York Times (NYT).
According to TASS, an air raid alert was declared in the Ukrainian capital at 05:55 (06:55 Moscow time). Sirens also went off in the Kyiv, Vinnitsa and Zhitomir regions.
Addressing the Group of Seven (G7) leaders on December 12, Zelenskyy called on the international community to demonstrate leadership in the implementation of the peace formula.
During his nightly address, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the situation is very difficult in the port city of Odesa as the energy facilities might take months to get repaired.
The package includes additional ammunition for high mobility artillery rocket systems (HIMARS), 80,000 155mm artillery rounds and counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems equipment.
