The remarks of Jaishankar came after the 16th India-Japan Foreign Ministers Strategic Dialogue. It covered diverse aspects of bilateral relations and set the stage for discussions on major regional and global issues in the remaining sessions.
The year 2023, according to Jaishankar, has been a "landmark" in India-Japan bilateral relations, witnessing "government-to-government, business-to-business, and people-to-people exchanges thrive across various sectors".
The members of the information delegation initiated by the Ministry of Diaspora and in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the relatives of the abductees held captive by Hamas, met in Tokyo with the Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa.
“We reaffirm our commitment to the complete denuclearization of North Korea consistent with UNSCRs, and we urge North Korea to abide by all its obligations under the UNSCRs and engage in substantive dialogue,” read a joint readout issued by the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
